This small committee normally meets monthly and includes several of the Church Officers. The care of a 12th Century Grade 1 listed building provides some interesting challenges – especially when trying to keep within budgetary constraints. However, it is a privilege to be able to worship where Christians have met to praise God for many hundreds of years and the committee is keen to retain the heritage of the past whilst also making every effort to facilitate meaningful expressions of worship for the 21st Century.

We work closely with the Methodist Church in the village. The Lyminge Ecumenical Team (LET) comprises three members from each church.
The Team is tasked with coordinating activities involving both churches such as:
This sub committee of the PCC has the remit of looking at ways of taking our church and faith into the community.
Rev Peter Ashman has support in caring for the four churches. We are fortunate to have people in the parishes who are trained for church ministry and who, in addition to their work and family commitments, assist on a voluntary basis.
Peter meets regularly with this team which aims to support each other, while planning and organising the Church services, groups and events.

The PCC is the “Church Management team”, consisting of clergy, churchwardens and elected members of the congregation. The full PCC meets every month and has several sub-groups looking after specific areas such as ministry and leadership, Fabric and Finance and Outward giving.
In our busy community, our Rector cannot manage to see everyone that he would like to, so he is ably supported by our Pastoral Group. These members of our congregation visit people on behalf of the church with the aim and hope of offering a hand of friendship, and a listening ear in which confidentiality is paramount.
Through this group we hope to:
If you would like a visit from one of our group please contact Rev Peter 01303 862432 or Lynne Lane 01303 863010
Our group provides coffee, tea and biscuits for the congregation after Sunday Morning services.
We also provide catering support for many church events including meals such as Harvest Lunch, often sharing with our Methodist friends.
We also organise social events such as trips to London's West End.
